SCARCE DOD CONTRACTS BEHIND CONTRACT BID DISPUTES?

Defense contractors are challenging contracting decisions by the Department of Defense more often, according to a story in the Wall Street Journal.   August Cole writes that this is due to "intense competition for scarce contracts," but his article points more to the size of contracts as driving the contractors’ disputes.  Companies who have come in with lower cost estimates are using the Government Accountability Office to challenge decisions won by their competitors in multi-billion dollar contracts for both materiel and services.   Read more here.
