It’s odd, but there seems to be a confluence of issues on this site that relate to America’s perception of itself and role vis a vis the outside world, and the trend is consistent. Namely, less visas, fewer passports, hurdles for immigrants and the like. It’s unfortunate, because what makes America great is the free flow of people and ideas.
I haven’t seen it mentioned on this site, but the average corporate tax in Europe is now less than in the U.S. That’s shocking info, but quite accurate. Stay tuned for the consequences. I mention that because low corporate taxes are another core strength we take for granted, yet now it is illusory. Truly, the only constant is change.
