ARE CLINTON AND OBAMA IN BED WITH WALL STREET?

The Los Angeles Time’s Janet Hook and Dan Morain speculate on how the millions Wall Street banks and financial firms have given to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will affect their regulation of the financial markets. Each has received just over six million from Wall Street.

The article seems to suggest that either candidate would be loath to revitalize limp agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission. Good-government groups express their concern in the piece, and Hook and Morain point out that the weakening of regulation was occurring in the Bill Clinton administration, too.  Read Hook and Morain here.  MB
