Somebody take away Pat Buchanan’s newspaper and disconnect his internet! The New York Times’ Sam Roberts reports that by 2042 there will be more non-white people in the U.S. than white people. There will be more non-white people under 18 than white people in that age group by 2023. The U.S. Census Bureau, which came up with these projections, classifies "non-white people" as those who identify themselves as Hispanic, black, Asian, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander.

The most rapidly expanding racial group is Hispanics. Maybe Washington can honor their growing role in American life by passing a comprehensive immigration bill by 2042.-MB
