Rod Blagojevich is no longer governor. Natasha Korecki of the Chicago Sun-Times reports on Rod and his wife, Patti:

NBC executives are in last-minute discussions with Patti Blagojevich to woo her as a contestant on the show that will be filmed in the Costa Rican jungles.

Illinois has a $12 billion budget deficit right now and a crisis in funding everything from pension plans to health clinics. But as the state slips and slides its way through the recession, it’s nice to know that embattled current Gov. Pat Quinn is not trying to raise legal fees by appearing on reality TV shows. Nor is most of the state assembly.-MB
